Missing Brazilian Couple Rescued After Five Days in Chile's Andes Mountains near Argentina Border

A couple from Brazil rescued on August 23 in Chile's Andes after five days missing. Located 12km from Chile-Argentina border, near San Francisco Pass, Aurora and Eraldo Rodrigues were found safe and well. 

Rescue From Chilean Andes

The pair had departed from Copiapá, Chile, heading to the Argentinian border when they encountered problems. Rescue teams worked tirelessly to locate them. The successful rescue mission was a result of collaboration between Chilean and Argentinian officials, bringing relief to the worried family and friends.

When the couple failed to return from their trip as planned, their family reported them missing, prompting a coordinated search operation. The mountainous terrain and unpredictable weather added complexity to the search efforts, making the rescue a race against time.
