Moscow Faces Unprecedented Drone Attack Amidst Ukrainian Cross-Border Offensive, Mayor Reports
Moscow reported a significant drone attack, claiming to have destroyed 10 Ukrainian drones, though no damage or casualties were reported.

On a recent Wednesday, Moscow reported a significant overnight drone attack, prompting the city's mayor, Sergey Sobyanin, to announce the interception of 10 Ukrainian attack drones by the city’s air defenses. Fortunately, there were no damages or casualties reported. This incident marks one of the most substantial drone assault attempts on Moscow, as stated by Mr. Sobyanin via social media.
Russia Said It Repelled a Large Drone Attack
Drone attacks on Moscow, located over 270 miles from the Ukrainian border, are infrequent and disrupt the usual sense of normalcy in the capital, which has largely remained insulated from the war. This includes Ukraine’s recent offensive into Russia’s western Kursk region. Moscow's mayor, Sergey Sobyanin, emphasized the severity of the situation, labeling it as one of the largest-ever attempts to attack the city with drones.
It is important to note that last year, Russia accused Ukraine of launching drone attacks targeting the Kremlin and a government ministries building.
