Philadelphia police released video of an armed man approaching a car before the driver opened fire on him, resulting in critical injuries.

On Friday night in Philadelphia, an attempted shooting was captured on a vehicle's dash cam, showing a dramatic altercation between two men. The incident took place at the intersection of Old York Road and Cheltenham Avenue, where a black Nissan Murano came to a stop at a traffic light.

The dash cam footage reveals that a man, described as a Black individual, emerged from the front passenger door of the Murano and approached another vehicle while brandishing a handgun. However, the intended victim, who was inside the vehicle, responded by firing at least two shots, causing the assailant to retreat and re-enter the Murano. Subsequently, more gunshots were seen coming from the victim's vehicle as the Murano quickly departed from the scene.

Victim's Condition

Following the altercation, it was discovered that a 31-year-old man inside the targeted vehicle had sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where his condition was reported as critical.

The Philadelphia Police Department is actively seeking two individuals in connection with the incident. According to the authorities, one of the suspects is described as a Black man wearing a black Balaclava-style mask, a black zip-up jacket, white shirt, and black or gray pants, while the other is described as a Black man with a heavy build and full beard, wearing a black skull cap, large glasses with black frames, a black hooded "Nike" jacket, gray sweatpants, and black and white sneakers.
