In a surprising turn of events, Adidas managed to sell €400m (£345m) worth of Kanye West-designed footwear during the second quarter of this year, matching last year's figures despite severing ties with the controversial rapper. Following a series of divisive comments made by West, Adidas chose to end their collaboration, resulting in a surplus of unsold Yeezy brand trainers. However, in an effort to recoup losses, Adidas decided to sell the remaining stock, leading to an increase in operating profit. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to charitable organizations, including the Anti-Defamation League and the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change.
