Plane Skids off Taxiway at New York Airport Amid Snowy Weather

An incident occurred at a New York airport when an American Airlines plane slid off the taxiway upon landing, although fortunately, no injuries were reported among the passengers and crew. The Embraer E145, operated by Piedmont Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines, was traveling from Philadelphia when it encountered snowy airfield conditions, causing it to exit the taxiway en route to the terminal. The aircraft, carrying 50 passengers and three crew members, is set to undergo a full inspection after being towed from the taxiway. Despite the inconvenience, all onboard safely deplaned and are being transported to the terminal via bus. The FAA is currently investigating the incident.
