Police in Oklahoma investigate the suspicious disappearance of two women, Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley, last seen driving to pick up children.
Authorities in Oklahoma are actively investigating the mysterious disappearance of two women whose vehicle was discovered abandoned in a remote area over the weekend.
Missing Persons
The missing individuals have been identified as Veronica Butler, aged 27, and Jilian Kelley, aged 39. According to the Texas County Sheriff's Office, the pair was supposedly en route to pick up children last Saturday but failed to reach their destination.
Their vehicle was located deserted near Highway 95 and Road L, south of Elkhart, Kansas, in rural Texas County, as confirmed by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).
Collaborative Efforts
OSBI is collaborating with the Texas County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and other law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough search for the two missing women.
Authorities have classified this as a "suspicious disappearance case," indicating the seriousness of the situation.
Identifying Features
The Texas County Sheriff's Office has issued a missing persons advisory providing distinctive characteristics of the individuals. Veronica has several tattoos, including a Chinese symbol on her left forearm and a sunflower on her left shoulder, while Jilian has a butterfly tattoo on her left forearm.
Additionally, the advisory describes Veronica as 5 feet 4 inches tall with red hair and green eyes, last seen wearing a blue short-sleeve shirt and denim shorts. On the other hand, Kelley has brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen clad in a long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and tan or beige shoes.
