Police Officers Wounded in Florida Space Coast Domestic Dispute Response

Two police officers near Florida's Space Coast sustained non-life-threatening injuries while responding to a domestic call, with the suspect dead after an exchange of gunfire, authorities confirmed.

The two officers, from the Palm Bay Police Department, were both wounded and are expected to survive, according to Police Chief Mariano Augello. The incident occurred in a residential neighborhood as the officers answered the domestic dispute call. The suspect was fatally shot during the altercation.

Chief Augello stated that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement would conduct an investigation into the incident. The department also issued social media advisories, urging residents to avoid the area where the shooting occurred.
