President Biden Coordinates G7 Response to Iran's Unprecedented Aerial Attack on Israel

On Sunday, President Joe Biden gathered with the Group of Seven advanced democracies to address Iran's recent aerial attack on Israel. This attack, the first of its kind, involved a barrage of drones and missiles launched by Iran, with the aim of targeting Israel. However, Israeli authorities reported that an impressive 99% of the incoming weapons were successfully intercepted and neutralized without causing significant damage.

U.S. Military Support

President Biden, in a statement, revealed that the U.S. had swiftly deployed aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to the region to aid Israel's defense. As a result of these deployments and the exceptional skill of U.S. servicemembers, the majority of the hostile drones and missiles were effectively taken down, providing substantial support to Israel’s defense efforts.

President Biden emphasized the importance of a united diplomatic response to Iran's bold attack during the G7 meeting. He also conveyed his message to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, encouraging Israel to exhibit restraint and avoid launching a larger retaliatory strike against Iran. Furthermore, Biden assured Netanyahu that the U.S. would not partake in any offensive action against Iran.

International Coordination

The G7 meeting, as stated by President Biden, is aimed at coordinating a collective diplomatic approach to address Iran's provocative assault.
