President Biden Expresses Frustration with Netanyahu in Overheard 'Come to Jesus' Meeting
Biden expresses frustration with Netanyahu, planning a serious meeting. Urges more humanitarian aid for Gaza, criticizes Israeli control, and promises US assistance.

Following his State of the Union address on Thursday, President Joe Biden expressed his strong concerns about the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and his frustrations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's approach to the situation.
A Candid Exchange
During a conversation with Sen. Michael Bennet on the House chamber floor, President Biden made candid remarks about the need for a serious discussion with Netanyahu. The President revealed that he had conveyed this message to Netanyahu using his nickname, "Bibi," and emphasized the urgency of the situation.
While engaging in this exchange, an aide discreetly alerted President Biden that the microphones were still on, prompting the President to acknowledge the situation with a casual remark, “I’m on a hot mic here.”
Increasing Frustration
Biden's frustration with the Netanyahu government has been escalating, as he publicly criticized Israel's reluctance to open more land crossings to facilitate the delivery of crucial aid to Gaza.
Despite Israel's military efforts to combat Hamas, President Biden stressed the importance of prioritizing humanitarian assistance, stating, “To Israel, I say this humanitarian assistance cannot be a secondary consideration or a bargaining chip.”
U.S. Commitment to Aid
President Biden announced decisive action to address the crisis, stating that the U.S. military would collaborate in establishing a temporary pier to enhance the delivery of aid to Gaza. Additionally, the U.S. military has commenced air dropping aid into the region, aiming to alleviate the dire circumstances.
Referring to the temporary pier, Biden emphasized that it would significantly augment the flow of humanitarian assistance into Gaza, potentially providing a lifeline to the distressed population.
