Prince Harry Makes Rare Public Appearance at London's St. Paul's Cathedral for Invictus Games Anniversary
Prince Harry attends church service before Invictus Games anniversary, with wife Meghan.
On a sunny day in London, Prince Harry made a rare public appearance at St. Paul's Cathedral for a church service ahead of the 10-year anniversary of the Invictus Games. As the fifth-in-line to the British throne, he waved to the crowd with a smile, marking the occasion with grace and dignity.
Special Church Service
Actor Damian Lewis, known for his roles in "Homeland" and "Band of Brothers," recited a poem to the congregation during the church service. Notably, this service did not include any other members of the royal family, as King Charles hosted the first annual garden party at Buckingham Palace with other senior royals.
Father and Son Reunion
Despite a brief reunion with his father in February after the news of the 75-year-old king's cancer diagnosis, Prince Harry will not meet up with King Charles on this latest trip to the United Kingdom. A spokesman for Prince Harry mentioned that it would not be possible due to the King's full program of commitments and other priorities.
The 39-year-old royal, who now resides in California with his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and their two children, has become estranged from certain family members after openly expressing his views in interviews and his autobiography.
Upcoming Trip to Nigeria
Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, are scheduled to visit Nigeria later this month to participate in discussions about the Invictus Games. It is believed that during their trip, they will attend a banquet with military officials and meet with servicemen and their families. The couple has not confirmed whether they will be accompanied by their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, on this overseas journey.
