In the midst of escalating violence in New York City, a shocking incident occurred in Queens on May 15, 2024. A group of 10 juveniles was engaged in a sidewalk brawl on 160th Street when they were targeted in a violent attack.
During the altercation, two unidentified individuals approached the group and opened fire, causing chaos and panic. The situation took a grave turn when a 12-year-old girl was struck in the arm by a bullet. This despicable act left the young victim hospitalized, although her condition is now reported as stable.
Additional Casualties
Aside from the young girl, two other individuals suffered injuries during the shooting. An 18-year-old female sustained a head laceration, while a 25-year-old woman suffered a stab wound to the chest. Both victims sought medical treatment at nearby hospitals.
Authorities from the New York Police Department are actively pursuing the two assailants involved in the heinous attack. It remains unclear whether one or both of the perpetrators discharged their firearms during the incident. Despite ongoing investigations, no arrests have been made, and no weapons were recovered at the scene.
