
School bus accident in Maryland sends students to hospital

Police in Maryland are investigating a bus accident that resulted in several middle school students being taken to the hospital after the bus overturned in Columbia. The incident involved a bus carrying 19 students from Hammond Middle School. The bus veered off the road and flipped over, leading to the evaluation of several occupants for injuries. While the driver, a 30-year-old woman, was unharmed, four students, two boys, and two girls aged 11 to 14, were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
Investigation and response
The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, with authorities not yet disclosing the reason for the bus leaving the roadway.
