Seven Tesla Charging Stations Deliberately Destroyed in Massachusetts Fire

Seven Tesla charging stations were intentionally burned at a Massachusetts shopping center.

Seven Tesla charging stations were deliberately destroyed in an arson attack at a shopping center outside Boston early Monday morning. The incident marks the latest in a string of attacks against the electric vehicle company since its CEO, Elon Musk, forged a close relationship with former President Donald Trump.

According to a news release from the Littleton Police Department, the fire erupted around 1:10 a.m. at a shopping center in Littleton, Massachusetts, approximately 30 miles west of Boston. Witnesses reported “heavy, dark smoke” engulfing several charging stations. The police immediately contacted the Littleton Electric Light & Water Department to shut down power to the affected area.

Escalating Attacks

Before the electric company could respond, another charging station caught fire, highlighting the rapid escalation of the situation. The shopping center originally housed 12 Tesla charging stations, as indicated by a Tesla map. However, seven were destroyed in the arson attack.

As of Tuesday, Tesla had not issued an official statement regarding the incident. The investigation into the arson is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the motive behind the attacks and identify the perpetrators.
