On Sunday, the Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach was the site of a shooting, reportedly while former President Trump was present, as confirmed by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. However, officials reassured that Mr. Trump was out of harm's way and the shooter’s motives remain undetermined. Steven Cheung, the Trump campaign's communications director, affirmed Mr. Trump's safety but withheld further details. Teri Barbera, spokeslady for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, confirmed the occurrence of the shooting "on the grounds" of the golf course during Mr. Trump's presence, adding that a "person of interest" was apprehended. She further emphasized the ambiguity surrounding the shooter’s intent. A news conference was anticipated later in the day to shed more light on the incident.
