Sticky Bomb Explosion Kills One, Injures Three in Kabul's Shiite Neighborhood
Sticky bomb kills one, wounds three in Kabul's Shiite area. Suspected Islamic State attack, targeting Shiites and Taliban in the region.

On Saturday, a sticky bomb detonated in a predominantly Shiite district of Kabul, resulting in the tragic death of the car's driver and leaving three others injured, as reported by a police official.
Details of the Incident
The explosive device had been affixed to a car and went off in the bustling commercial and residential area of Kot-e-Sangi. The police chief's spokesman, Khalid Zadran, revealed that it remains unclear whether the wounded individuals were passengers, and authorities have already commenced an investigation into the matter.
Suspected Perpetrators
While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, suspicion is likely to center on the Islamic State (IS) group. The IS affiliate in the region has a history of targeting Shiites, whom the group considers to be apostates, as well as launching assaults against the Taliban.
Previous Attacks
This recent incident follows the IS group's claim of responsibility for a fatal suicide bombing targeting individuals collecting their salaries at a bank in southern Afghanistan last month. According to IS, the attacker detonated his explosive belt among a group of Taliban members gathered near the bank to receive their wages.
