Reconstructing History

Among the numerous revelations from the site, archeologists managed to reconstruct intricate frescoes that adorned the ceiling of a grand property, offering a rare and complex glimpse into the world of a high-status individual. Additionally, the discovery of a bakery revealed the poignant remains of two adults and a child, believed to be slaves who tragically perished during the eruption.

Remarkably, a home construction project frozen in time by the eruption was also uncovered, with bricks and tools still piled up in the reception area of the home.
