On the 4th of July, a day meant for celebration, a beachgoer's leisurely swim turned into a harrowing experience when they were attacked by a shark in the waters around South Padre Island, Texas. The incident occurred at approximately 11 a.m. local time near the 4100 block of Gulf Boulevard, as reported to authorities by the South Padre Island Police Department.

Upon receiving the report, the South Padre Island fire and police department swiftly responded to the scene, providing immediate medical treatment to the victim. Subsequently, the injured individual was transported to a nearby hospital for further care, as confirmed by law enforcement officials.
