Terrell Davis 'Humiliated' by United Airlines Incident, Receives Apology and Seeks Investigation

Terrell Davis, a former Denver Broncos player and Pro Football Hall of Famer, expressed his feelings of humiliation after an incident on a United Airlines flight. The events, which unfolded during a trip from Denver to Orange County, California, led to Davis being handcuffed and removed from the flight, only to be later apologized to by law enforcement.

Unfortunate Altercation

Davis recounted the incident in an Instagram post, stating that he had lightly tapped a flight attendant on the arm, to which she reacted by loudly admonishing him and swiftly moving to the front of the aircraft. Upon landing, law enforcement boarded the plane, abruptly placed Davis in handcuffs without providing an explanation, and escorted him off the flight. The former NFL star expressed his profound sense of humiliation, embarrassment, powerlessness, and anger in response to the treatment he experienced.

Resolution and Accountability

Subsequently, while undergoing questioning, law enforcement concluded that the allegations made by the flight attendant were unfounded and issued an apology to Davis for the distressing sequence of events. In response to the incident, United Airlines extended an apology to Davis and his team, and revealed that the flight attendant involved had been relieved of duty pending a thorough review of the matter.

Laura Eimiller, a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), confirmed that agents and law enforcement personnel at Orange County’s John Wayne Airport had intervened following a reported altercation on the flight. The individual in question was subsequently detained and later released after demonstrating full cooperation with the authorities.

In his Instagram post, Davis asserted the necessity of a thorough investigation into the conduct of the flight attendant, emphasizing the severe repercussions unjustly imposed on him and his family as a result of the attendant's alleged falsehoods. Furthermore, Parker Stinar, legal counsel for Davis, conveyed their intent to meticulously scrutinize the unfolding of events and confirmed their proactive approach in engaging with United Airlines to address the incident.
