Texas authorities seize nearly three dozen roosters in large cockfighting bust

Authorities in Texas have conducted a raid on an illegal cockfighting ring, resulting in the seizure of nearly three dozen roosters and the detention of nine individuals. The Caldwell County Sheriffs Office revealed that 20 vehicles and a trailer were also confiscated during the operation.

The alleged cockfighting ring was traced to the 3090 block of Dry Creek Road in Lockhart, according to the sheriff's office. This crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to combat the illegal practice, which has seen a surge in law enforcement attention in recent years.
