Witness Statements and Police Investigation
A 61-year-old woman, who lives in the same apartment building, reported to the officers that the couple, who presented themselves as Texans through “virtual credentials” had rented an apartment in the same building. She mentioned that she had knocked on their door multiple times, informing them about a necessary repair for a leak in the water meter, but there was no response from the couple throughout the day. Concerned by the lack of response, she decided to enter the apartment, only to discover both individuals unconscious, leading her to immediately notify the police.
Upon arrival, the paramedics identified the couple as a 35-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman. Currently, the exact cause of their death remains unknown. As the case is being handled by the Public Ministry officer, a part of the Mexican Attorney General’s Office, the investigation is still ongoing, with authorities working diligently to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
The tragic demise of the Texas couple has cast a shadow over their vacation in Mexico City, and as further details emerge, it serves as a somber reminder of the unpredictability of life.
