Texas Man Charged with Capital Murder After Fatal Stabbing
A 23-year-old man stabbed a Dallas man 55 times during a move-out, leading to his arrest after a police chase and crash.

A 23-year-old Texas man named Ethan Isaiah Rodriguez has been charged with capital murder after allegedly stabbing a Dallas man, Mason Raymond Davis, 55 times during a moving assistance.
According to court documents and an arrest affidavit obtained by affiliate FOX 4, the incident occurred on Saturday while Rodriguez was helping Davis move out of his Dallas apartment. Surveillance video captured both men moving items between the apartment and Davis' vehicle before showing Rodriguez leaving the apartment alone in Davis' car around midnight.
A Welfare Check Reveals a Gruesome Discovery
On Sunday, Davis missed work and could not be reached, prompting a welfare check at his apartment. When Dallas police arrived, they discovered that Davis had been stabbed 55 times. The apartment was unoccupied at the time.
Davis' vehicle, reported stolen on Sunday, was later spotted on Monday before speeding away from police during a traffic stop. Rodriguez, the driver, crashed into multiple cars before ultimately wrecking Davis' vehicle and fleeing the scene on foot.
A High-Speed Chase and Arrest
Police pursued Rodriguez and apprehended him after using a stun gun. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation before being interviewed at Dallas Police headquarters.
During his arrest, Rodriguez was wearing a shoe with a pattern "very similar" to a bloody shoe print found at the crime scene, according to an arrest warrant. The Dallas Police Department declined Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Charges and Bond
Ethan Isaiah Rodriguez is facing charges of capital murder, evading in a motor vehicle, and possession of marijuana. He is currently being held on a combined $1.25 million bond at the Dallas County Jail.
