The Carrollton Police Department took action after responding to a sexual assault victim receiving treatment at an area hospital on February 11. Subsequently, 25-year-old Carlton Tambaoga was apprehended and charged with a single count of sexual assault. The investigation by the Special Victims Unit revealed a second victim who was also allegedly sexually assaulted by the same suspect, leading to Tambaoga being charged with an additional count of sexual assault on February 13.

Health Status and Further Victims

Authorities have disclosed that Tambaoga is HIV positive and is currently detained in the Denton County Jail. The investigation has also uncovered four more individuals who claim to have been sexually assaulted by the same individual. Additionally, it is suspected that there may be more victims in the DFW Metroplex, Houston, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia.

The investigation is still ongoing as detectives work to reach out to each victim and gather evidence in the case.
