Three Hikers Survive Frigid Night on California’s Mount Baldy After Making Camp Between Rocks

Three hikers were rescued on California's Mount Baldy after a frigid night thanks to their resourcefulness and preparedness. The hikers had lost the trail at an elevation of 8,200 feet due to significant snowfall and 50 mph wind gusts. Equipped with a tent, sleeping bags, and a whistle, they sheltered between rocks, which ultimately aided rescuers in locating them. 

The rescue team commended the hikers for their preparedness and quick actions, stating that their survival was directly linked to their thorough preparations. After thorough medical checks, the hikers were safely escorted down the mountain.
