
Three-Truck Collision Shuts Down NY Thruway Eastbound Lanes in Ontario County
A crash involving three tractor-trailers has closed eastbound lanes of the NY Thruway in Ontario County, causing significant delays.

Early Thursday morning, a three-tractor trailer collision resulted in the closure of the eastbound lanes of the New York state Thruway in Ontario County. The incident happened at around 4:35 a.m. at mile marker 327.6, near Exit 42 (Geneva).

According to the New York State Police, the collision occurred in the eastbound lanes of the highway. The closure between Exits 42 and 43 was necessary due to the blockage caused by the accident. Troopers indicated that eastbound motorists are being diverted from the Thruway at Exit 43 (Manchester) and can re-enter Interstate 90 at Exit 41 (Waterloo).
Troopers reported that the duration of the highway closure remains uncertain. Motorists are advised to expect significant delays in the area. The New York State Thruway Authority and New York State Police have issued alerts regarding the incident, urging motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes to minimize congestion.
