A Night Out
Strain and his friends were visiting Nashville for the weekend and had been staying at a downtown hotel. The night of March 8, they visited Luke's 32 Bridge, a popular bar owned by music artist Luke Bryan. According to a joint statement from the bar's management company and Bryan, Strain was asked to leave the bar at 9:35 p.m. based on their conduct standards. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission announced that they would be investigating claims that Strain was over-served at the establishment.

Bodycam footage from Officer Reginald Young captured Strain walking down the sidewalk on Gay Street at around 9:47 p.m. Strain did not appear to be distressed as he exchanged a greeting with Officer Young. Despite extensive searches, no further sightings of Strain have been reported after 9:52 p.m. on Gay Street.
