On a Wednesday afternoon, a terrifying incident occurred in Carteret, New Jersey, when a tractor-trailer crashed into the back of a home. The driver of the big rig reportedly experienced a "medical incident" prior to the crash, prompting emergency crews to swiftly respond to the scene.
According to officials, the driver, who was operating a vehicle owned by Porky Products Inc., suffered a medical emergency leading to the catastrophic collision. Subsequently, the driver was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment of the injuries sustained during the crash.
Extent of Damage
Photographs and video footage from the scene depicted the extensive damage caused by the tractor-trailer, as it appeared to have plowed through a white fence before colliding with the two-story house. The enormous truck became lodged in the rear of the home, and emergency crews were observed surveying the wreckage.
It remained unclear whether anyone was present inside the home at the time of the incident, as well as whether any additional individuals sustained injuries as a result of the collision.
