Tragic Discovery: Body of Missing Student Riley Strain Found in Nashville

On February 26, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers went missing. He left his bedroom barefoot, carrying a flashlight, and hasn't been seen since. The Sumner County Sheriff's Office issued an Amber Alert for Sebastian, who has autism, but as of now, there are no substantial leads on his whereabouts. His mother, Katie Proudfoot, is reaching out for help, saying, "Honestly, we don't know where he is. . . . We haven't found any substantial evidence to locate where he's been or where he went. That's why we're pleading for help."

The Search Efforts

Following Sebastian's disappearance, his mother drove three hours away from home to meet up with her husband, prompting criticism from some quarters. She explained, "We are posting fliers every direction we can. But at the same time, there were quite a bit of people that were sending some very threatening and hateful messages to us. They're following us. They're driving past our house at all hours of the day or night, disturbing the neighborhood, and the neighborhood is very upset and concerned."

The Father's Efforts

Sebastian's father, Seth Rogers, has been searching the Natchez Trace State Park in West Tennessee, fearing his son may have been "dropped off" there. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is urging locals to check their property for any signs of the missing teenager, covering about 2,000 miles within the first few days of their search. The FBI mentioned in a March 22 update that there is very little information about Sebastian's whereabouts, and there are no definite signs of criminal involvement in his disappearance so far.

Sebastian is described as a white male, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 120 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and glasses.
