Trump Accuses Biden of Drug Use, Calls for Debate Drug Testing

Trump accuses Biden of being "higher than a kite" and calls for drug testing before debates, reviving baseless insinuations.

Former President Donald Trump has once again stirred controversy by accusing President Joe Biden of drug use and insisting on a drug test before any debate with him. In an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, Trump raised baseless insinuations about Biden using cocaine during his State of the Union speech last month.

Baseless Accusations

Trump referenced the discovery of a baggie of drugs in the White House last summer and without evidence, accused both Hunter Biden and his father of using the stash. However, the Secret Service stated that they could not identify the culprit.

Call for Drug Testing

Expressing skepticism about Biden's behavior during the State of the Union speech, Trump stated, "I want to debate, and I think debates, with him at least, should be drug tested. I want a drug test."

Response from Biden's Campaign

In response to Trump's comments, Biden campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa dismissed the claims as "a bizarre outburst" and highlighted Trump's "toxic agenda."

Repeated Calls for Debate and Drug Testing

Trump has consistently called for a debate with Biden, even after declining to participate in any Republican presidential primary debates. He has also previously demanded that Biden take a drug test before their debates in 2020.

In contrast, Biden has indicated that the possibility of a debate depended on Trump's "behavior," and has not explicitly addressed the call for a drug test.
