Trump Engages with GOP Mega-Donor Miriam Adelson in Las Vegas

Trump Seeks Support from Republican Donor Class
Former President Donald Trump was seen having dinner with casino executive Miriam Adelson in Las Vegas, indicating his efforts to solidify support from the Republican donor class. Adelson, with an estimated net worth of $35 billion, could potentially play a pivotal role in Trump's prospective second-term bid.
Adelson's Support and Contributions
Notably, Adelson and her late husband, Sheldon Adelson, were the most significant contributors to Trump's 2020 reelection campaign, generously donating $90 million to a super PAC in support of his candidacy. The private dinner was confirmed by two sources who opted to remain anonymous. Despite a request for comment, a representative for Adelson did not provide a response.
Trump's Outreach to Mega-Donors
In recent weeks, Trump has been actively seeking backing from potential mega-donors, even those who did not support him during the Republican primary. Aerospace executive Robert Bigelow, who was a major contributor to the campaign of Trump's former rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, recently pledged his support to Trump.
Strategic Efforts to Garner Adelson's Favor
Trump has been strategically working to garner Adelson's favor for months, having previously dined with her in October during his visit to the Republican Jewish Coalition's annual conference in Las Vegas. Additionally, he met with her last year at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Notably, Adelson also had a meeting with Trump's opponent, Nikki Haley, during the RJC gathering.
Anticipation of Adelson's Investments
While Adelson has opted to maintain neutrality in the primary, several sources familiar with her thinking anticipate significant investments from her to bolster Trump's position in the general election.
