The campaign stated, "With so many across the Southeastern U.S. facing challenges after the storm, President Trump is on the ground in communities to see the aftermath firsthand. All donations will be directed to help those most affected by Hurricane Helene. Any level of generosity will go a long way for your fellow Americans who are suffering."
Notable contributions and the federal response
Former U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., made a significant donation of $500,000. Bass Pro Shop, known for its hunting, fishing, and outdoor gear, contributed $100,000. Additionally, donor Dana White, presumed to be the close friend of former President Trump and CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, also donated $100,000. Hedge fund billionaire William Ackman pledged the same amount. Other notable contributors included Kid Rock, U.S. Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wy., and personal injury attorney Dan Newlin.

In response to the devastation, President Biden announced his plan to visit Asheville, North Carolina, to survey the damage caused by Hurricane Helene. As of Monday evening, the death toll from the hurricane had surpassed 100 people.
