Two Men Stabbed to Death in Soundview, Bronx: A Tragic Incident Unfolds

Two men were fatally stabbed in the Bronx early Sunday, near a previous homicide, with no arrests made yet.

In the early hours of Sunday, two men lost their lives to a violent stabbing incident in the Bronx, marking a tragic echo of a previous homicide in the area.

Details of the Incident

At approximately 4:50 a.m. outside a retail strip on Stratford Avenue near Westchester Avenue in the Soundview neighborhood, a 24-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the abdomen, while a 27-year-old man suffered a lethal stab wound to the chest.

Emergency medical personnel promptly transported both victims to Jacobi Medical Center, but, regrettably, their lives could not be saved. The identities of the deceased individuals have not yet been disclosed to the public.

Comparison with Previous Incident

Disturbingly, this incident unfolded mere feet away from the location where Jesus Garcia-Desiderio, a 46-year-old father of two, was tragically beaten to death earlier in the year. The confrontation that led to Garcia-Desiderio's demise occurred around 4:40 a.m. on February 17, involving a clash with Alejandro Gonzalez, 23, and another individual.

Garcia-Desiderio succumbed to his injuries three days later at Jacobi Medical Center. In a subsequent investigation, police apprehended Gonzalez in Bristol, Conn., three months post-incident and extradited him to face manslaughter and related charges in June. Currently, Gonzalez is awaiting trial at Rikers Island.
