Two Officers Attacked in New Jersey
On Sunday night in New Jersey, two police officers were hospitalized after being attacked while responding to a 911 hang-up call at a home on Cresson Avenue in Galloway Township at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Assault on Officers
As the two Galloway Township police officers were investigating the call, they were both attacked by a suspect. One officer sustained a stab wound to the side of his face, while the other officer suffered a head injury, as reported by the department.
Medical Treatment
Following the attack, both officers were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division for medical attention. One officer is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the other has already been discharged from the hospital.
Suspect in Custody
The suspect, whose identity was not disclosed, has been apprehended and is in custody. The Galloway Township Police Department indicated that more details regarding the incident are anticipated to be revealed later on Monday as the investigation continues.
