Two Rescues in California Wilderness: Missing Hiker Found and 4-Year-Old Boy Safe

A 4-year-old boy named Christian Ramirez has been found safe after spending 22 hours in the wilderness in the Fresno area of California. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office released a video showing the boy being brought to safety by the Tulare County Search and Rescue Team following his disappearance from the Rancheria Campground near Huntington Lake.

Search and Rescue Operation

Authorities say Ramirez was reported missing from the campground shortly before 11 a.m. on a Thursday and was discovered on Friday around 8 a.m. local time. He was found about a quarter mile away from where he reportedly disappeared. The Sheriff’s Office reported that Ramirez is in good condition, although tired and hungry, and has been reunited with his parents.

Teamwork and Dedication

The search to find Ramirez involved more than 50 deputies and volunteers who participated in the search, including members of other law enforcement agencies. They worked non-stop throughout the night to locate the missing boy. The sheriff’s office described the search as an "amazing show of teamwork and dedication."
