Two Teenagers Charged in Abduction and Murder in Rural Utah
Two teens charged with kidnapping and murdering a 21-year-old man in Utah.

In a tragic turn of events, the body of 21-year-old Alexia "Alex" Franco was discovered in a remote desert in Utah, several days after he had gone missing. The authorities found him dead from an apparent gunshot wound, sparking a harrowing investigation into his abduction and subsequent murder.
Arrest of the Teenagers
Taylorsville police have made significant progress in the case by charging two teenagers, aged 15 and 17, in connection with Franco's killing. These individuals have been detained in the Salt Lake Valley Detention Center on multiple felony homicide charges, as reported by CBS affiliate KUTV.
Discovery and Investigation
The discovery of Franco's body in an isolated area near Lehi, coupled with his initial disappearance after stepping into a Jeep, prompted detectives to shift their focus from a possible abduction to a homicide investigation. It was reported that the white 2000s Jeep Liberty, in which Franco was last seen, played a crucial role in leading the authorities to the teenage suspects.
A Heartbreaking Account
Franco's girlfriend, Alyssa Henry, provided a poignant account of the events preceding his disappearance. She mentioned that Franco was picked up by "friends of friends" with the intention of driving the couple to a park. However, unsettlingly, Henry heard what seemed to be a gunshot coming from the car as Franco stepped into it, followed by a hasty departure. She expressed her deep concern over the situation, recounting her efforts to track Franco's cell phone after the car left.
"He didn't do anything. All of them looked at me and then drove away, and I started chasing the car, and I got to the end of the street before someone found me and called the police." - Alyssa Henry
Community Assistance
The police sought the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of the Jeep, appealing for information to aid in their search. This outreach resulted in the successful location of the car in Salt Lake County.
Closure and Justice
