The accused, Jarrett Buba, 27, faces multiple charges in both cases. The latest incident has prompted an investigation into whether it was motivated by anti-Semitic sentiment.
Arrest and Charges
Jarrett Buba was arrested following the reported assault on Jewish students at the University of Pittsburgh. The charges include simple assault, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment, with a total of 10 counts filed against him.
Connection to Carnegie Mellon University Incident
Following the University of Pittsburgh incident, law enforcement linked Buba to a previous occurrence at Carnegie Mellon University. In this earlier incident, two individuals reported being struck with a glass bottle, although no injuries were sustained.
