In a bizarre turn of events, law enforcement arrested one of two suspected car burglars after they crashed into a parked vehicle at high speed while attempting to flee. The suspects had an ironic neck tattoo that read "all gas, no brakes," which caught the attention of authorities during their apprehension. The incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning in the Preservation Pointe neighborhood, located off County Road 547 in the Davenport area. Reports of a white male and white female attempting to break into parked cars prompted the Polk County Sheriff's Office to respond at approximately 3:28 a.m. Upon spotting the suspects' white 2006 Cadillac CTS, a deputy initiated a traffic stop. However, the vehicle evaded capture by speeding into the subdivision. As the suspects raced through the streets, they passed one deputy, turned back, and tried to find an exit route. Surveillance footage from the neighborhood captured the moment when the Cadillac collided with an unoccupied parked vehicle. Deputies swiftly extricated the suspects from the disabled Cadillac and called for medical assistance to treat their injuries. Sheriff Grady Judd emphasized the dangerous nature of their actions, stating, "Fleeing from a law enforcement traffic stop demonstrates very poor decision-making, but to do it in a small, residential neighborhood at a high rate of speed is a terrible idea, and dangerous." Identified as 37-year-old Timothy Allen Hogue from Apopka, the driver exhibited visible "all gas, no brakes" ink on his neck. The passenger, 31-year-old Rebecca Kozub from Ocoee, remains hospitalized due to a fractured leg sustained in the crash. Following Hogue's release from the hospital, detectives interviewed him, revealing that he admitted to the burglaries and attributed the decision to flee to his panic. Hogue faces multiple charges, including burglary, theft, drug possession, and resisting arrest. The Polk County Sheriff's Office is awaiting Kozub's recovery before filing charges against her. Both suspects have extensive criminal records. For tips or inquiries, contact reporter Danielle Wallace at danielle.wallace@fox.com or on Twitter: @danimwallace.
