Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters were met with a harrowing sight as fierce flames soared approximately 20 feet high from the roof of the single-family home. Despite their valiant efforts, the fire rapidly consumed the property, ultimately leading to a tragic outcome.

While four individuals were present in the residence when the fire erupted, three managed to evacuate safely. Tragically, it was reported that a woman remained trapped on the second floor. Despite being swiftly transported to Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport, she was later pronounced deceased.

Regrettably, the home suffered extensive damage and was declared a total loss. As a result, all occupants were displaced, adding further distress to the already devastating situation.
