World Central Kitchen Resumes Gaza Operations with Palestinian Aid Team after Israeli Drone Strikes
World Central Kitchen resumes operations in Gaza with Palestinian aid workers, following Israeli military's deadly attack. Calls for independent investigation continue.

After a month of the tragic loss of seven aid workers, the World Central Kitchen is resuming its operations in Gaza. The organization will be working with a local team of Palestinian aid workers to continue its humanitarian efforts in the region.
Israeli military officials have acknowledged that the attack on the World Central Kitchen's workers was a "grave mistake." They have cited a series of failures, including communication breakdowns and violations of the military’s operating procedures.
Call for Independent Investigation
The Washington-based aid group is still calling for an independent, international investigation into the April 1 attack. Despite the acknowledgment of mistakes, the group has received “no concrete assurances” that the Israeli military’s operational procedures have been modified.
Despite the challenges, the aid group's chief operating officer, Erin Gore, stated, “We are restarting our operation with the same energy, dignity, and focus on feeding as many people as possible.” The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire, and the organization is committed to providing essential support to the people in need.
