Former 'Law & Order' Star Angie Harmon Speaks Out After Instacart Driver Shoots Family Dog
Angie Harmon's family dog was shot and killed by an Instacart driver in North Carolina.
Angie Harmon, former star of "Law & Order," has spoken out about a distressing incident involving an Instacart delivery driver at her North Carolina home.
Tragic Shooting
Harmon revealed that on Saturday, the family's dog named Oliver was shot and killed by the male Instacart driver who had delivered their groceries. She took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, accompanied by several photos of Oliver.
Ring Camera Absence
Harmon mentioned that although they had a Ring camera installed, it was inside charging and, therefore, did not capture any footage of the tragic incident. She suspected that the driver may have noticed the camera's absence.
Disputed Account
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department confirmed the incident, stating that the driver claimed to have shot the dog in self-defense after being attacked. However, Harmon disputed this account, asserting that the driver had no injuries or damage to his clothing.
Instacart's Response
Instacart, in a statement, expressed deep sadness and disturbance over the incident. They announced that the driver would no longer be delivering for them and emphasized their zero-tolerance policy for violence.
Unaddressed Issue
Harmon highlighted that the Instacart driver had been using a woman's profile, a concern that was not addressed in the statements released by the police or Instacart.
Expressing their devastation, Harmon stated that her family is completely traumatized by the loss of their beloved pet.
