Netflix has officially confirmed the production of a sequel to the classic 1996 golf comedy "Happy Gilmore." The original movie revolved around a hockey player, portrayed by Adam Sandler, who discovers his talent for golf to save his grandmother's house. The sequel will bring back the notorious golfer Shooter McGavin, portrayed by Christopher McDonald, renewing the rivalry with Gilmore.
The PGA Tour, acknowledging the news, shared an old clip of Sandler on the golf course and expressed their excitement by tweeting, "He's baaack ‼️ @AdamSandler | @Netflix."
