Over 250K Tickets Available on Resale Sites Before Opening
Hundreds of thousands of Paris Olympics tickets are unsold, with over 250,000 available on resale sites, despite organizers' claims of high demand.

With just a few days left before the much-anticipated Paris Olympics kick off, a substantial number of tickets are still up for grabs. The availability of these tickets has raised eyebrows, particularly as more than a quarter of a million tickets are currently being resold through various websites. This influx of tickets for resale comes in the wake of the organizers' recent announcement, confirming that a staggering 600,000 tickets remained unsold and were still available for purchase through general sale channels.
A closer look at the resale market reveals a significant surge, with the number of available tickets on these platforms climbing to 270,465 as of Monday. This marked increase is even more striking when compared to the figures from just a month ago, which stood at around 180,000. The Financial Times' analysis initially brought this surge to light, shedding light on the substantial volume of tickets flooding the resale market.
