Seven Juveniles Wounded in Downtown Indianapolis Shooting, Police Say

Authorities in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana reported a shooting incident on Saturday night that resulted in the injury of seven juveniles between the ages of 12 and 17. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the situation at approximately 11:30 p.m. after gunshots were heard in the vicinity of the intersection of South Illinois Street and West Maryland Street.
Discovery of Victims
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers found a sizable group of juveniles, six of whom had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims was initially in critical condition and was promptly taken to a local hospital. Fortunately, the individual's condition has since improved to stable. The remaining five victims were also transported to the hospital, all of whom were in stable condition.
Additional Victim and Suspect Information
An unexpected development arose when a seventh victim, with an apparent gunshot wound, independently arrived at a hospital and was similarly reported to be in stable condition. While no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the incident, investigators have disclosed that multiple firearms were involved in the shooting.
The situation prompted immediate action from authorities, yet no arrests have been made as of yet. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing, with the authorities diligently working to gather pertinent information and bring the perpetrators to justice.
