Starship Prepares for Eighth Test Flight, Targeting Successful Landing
Starship's eighth test flight aims to repeat a previous successful booster landing while preventing the upper stage's disintegration.

Starship, the spacecraft developed by Elon Musk's company SpaceX with the ambitious goal of transporting humans to Mars, is gearing up for its eighth test flight. Scheduled for Monday, this mission largely aims to replicate the seventh flight, which took place in January.
During the previous attempt, Starship's massive booster successfully landed back at the launchpad. However, the upper-stage spacecraft unfortunately disintegrated over the Caribbean Sea, with debris scattering across the Turks and Caicos Islands. The objective of this latest flight is to achieve a more controlled and less destructive outcome.
Launch Details
The launch window for Monday's mission is a one-hour period commencing at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time from Starbase, SpaceX's launch facility in South Texas. For those eager to witness the event, SpaceX will offer live coverage on its website approximately 40 minutes prior to liftoff.
