Manchester United has confirmed an agreement with British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, who will acquire a minority stake in the club and invest $300 million in the Old Trafford stadium. Ratcliffe, the owner of INEOS, expressed his excitement as a lifelong supporter, stating plans to leverage INEOS Sport's expertise to enhance the club's performance. The club's executive co-chairmen, Avram Glazer and Joel Glazer, anticipate the commercial experience and financial commitment brought by Ratcliffe's INEOS, aiming to drive improvement and success for the club with the support of seasoned professionals. The Glazers had previously initiated the process of seeking new investment and potential sale of the club in November.
