Former Bears' All-Pro Eddie Jackson signs one-year deal with Baltimore Ravens
Eddie Jackson, former Chicago Bears' All-Pro free safety, has joined the Baltimore Ravens on a one-year deal, strengthening their top-tier secondary.
Eddie Jackson, former Chicago Bears free safety, has secured a new NFL contract with the Baltimore Ravens after being unsigned for five months.
The 30-year-old, eight-year veteran is known for his impressive track record, having gathered 15 interceptions, 44 pass breakups, 10 forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, and six defensive touchdowns in 100 regular season games.
With back-to-back Pro Bowl appearances in 2018-19 and an All-Pro selection in 2019, Jackson's skills are highly regarded, despite having missed five games in each of the last two seasons due to a foot injury.
Contribution to the Ravens
Jackson's arrival is set to bolster the Ravens' already strong secondary, providing valuable depth to a unit that includes standout players such as Marcus Williams, Kyle Hamilton, Marlon Humphrey, Brandon Stephens, and Nate Wiggins. This addition further solidifies the Ravens' defense, which notably clinched the top spot in the NFL for points allowed last season, while also ranking highly in passing yards allowed and interceptions made.
