Despite their attempts to drive away, the surging water trapped them against the curb, leaving them with no choice but to abandon their vehicle.
With the water rising to neck-high levels, the couple had to navigate through the relentless current. They swam and walked for eight blocks, struggling to reach safety. In the midst of the chaos, they encountered neighbors desperately seeking assistance from their rooftops.
