Marquette King Aims for NFL Comeback After Successful Stints in UFL and XFL

Marquette King, former NFL punter, seeks return to the league after success in XFL and UFL, confident in his abilities.

Former NFL punter Marquette King, a 35-year-old player, is determined to make a comeback in the league after playing in the United Football League (UFL) and XFL. King played for the Arlington Renegades in the UFL and was named All-UFL punter. He was also a champion in the XFL in 2023 and led the league in punting yards in 2020.

Striving for NFL Return

Having last played in the NFL in 2018, King is resilient and hopeful about returning to the league in 2024. In a social media post, he expressed his confidence, stating, "You can't tell me that there are 32 punters better than me. All-UFL Punter in a league where punting isn't easy at all! I'm manifesting a call from an NFL team again soon."

Previous Stints and Record

King started his NFL career with the Raiders in 2012 and played with them until 2017. He then joined the Broncos, but his career took a turn due to a thigh injury, leading to his release from the team. Throughout his NFL career, King has played 84 games, completed 446 punts for 20,822 yards, and achieved 163 kicks inside the 20-yard line. He also holds the record for the longest punt in his career, covering a distance of 72 yards.

Seeking to prove his capabilities once again in the NFL, Marquette King remains optimistic and eager to secure a spot on an NFL team for the upcoming season.
