Olympic Athletes Flee Cramped Rooms in Paris Village, Opt for Hotel Comforts
Athletes at Paris Olympics Village find cramped quarters. Some opt for hotels. Minimalist sleeping areas aim for eco-friendly design. Some cite concerns over transportation and conditions.

Reports from the Paris Olympic Games reveal that some athletes have opted to leave the cramped living spaces in the Olympic Village in favor of hotel accommodations, citing concerns about the limited facilities.
In a video shared on TikTok, Coco Gauff from the Team USA tennis squad showcased the congested living conditions, with a notable lack of space for personal grooming. The video depicted 10 women sharing just two bathrooms, prompting some to seek alternative arrangements in local hotels.
Unsatisfactory Living Conditions
It was evident that the living spaces provided in the Olympic Village did not meet the expectations of the athletes, leading to a shift to more comfortable hotel rooms. The choice to relocate was further emphasized by the testimonial exchange on social media platforms.
Furthermore, a significant number of South Korea's swimming team members also chose to depart from the official residential complex, expressing concerns about prolonged bus transportation to the competition arenas, as well as the unsatisfactory conditions aboard the vehicles.
