Pro MMA fighter Andrew Osborne was sentenced to 25 years in prison for pleading guilty to stabbing a man to death in Atlantic City.

Professional mixed martial artist Andrew Osborne, age 35, has been handed a 25-year prison sentence after admitting to the first-degree aggravated manslaughter of 47-year-old Brian Wilkinson in Atlantic City, N.J. hotel room.
Timeline of events
The incident occurred at Ocean Casino on September 23, 2022, where Osborne is reported to have stabbed Wilkinson in the head and neck. Following the incident, he fled to Philadelphia, where he was apprehended by law enforcement officials. According to court documents, Osborne allegedly entered Wilkinson's hotel room at 7:11 a.m. and exited at 7:30 a.m. Wearing Wilkinson's shoes and pants, he left the scene, and Wilkinson's body was discovered later that day at 1:30 p.m.
Legal repercussions
Upon accepting a guilty plea, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced that Osborne would be required to serve at least 85% of his sentence in New Jersey State Prison (N.J.S.P.) before being eligible for supervised release. The legal repercussions followed a career in professional MMA, where Osborne participated in 20 fights, including a bout in the World Series of Fighting. His professional career spanned from 2011 to 2017, resulting in a record of 7 wins, 11 losses, and 1 draw with one no contest.
