Security Failure: Building Overlooking Trump Rally Left Unattended by Secret Service
The building where a gunman targeted Trump was a clear security risk, with unguarded rooftop access. Authorities labeled it a security failure.
In an unforeseen turn of events, the structure that housed the assailant who targeted former President Trump proved to be a glaring security vulnerability.
Flawed Security Perimeter
Surprisingly, the rooftop of the building provided an optimal vantage point for the assailant, with a proximate, elevated, and unobstructed view of the area where the former President was situated. However, the Secret Service, in its preparations for the rally, overlooked the potential threat posed by this particular building and failed to incorporate it into the security perimeter.
Local Law Enforcement's Misguided Responsibility
Furthermore, the Secret Service entrusted the security of the building to the local law enforcement in Butler, Pa., thus absolving themselves of direct oversight. Regrettably, this decision resulted in a critical lapse in security, as the building, utilized as a warehouse by AGR International, was left unguarded, allowing the assailant to exploit this egregious error.
